Our Place Mourns Loss of Reb Dovid Trenk Z’l

Our Place, the counseling and rehabilitative organization for Jewish youth, is overwhelmed with sadness on the passing of Reb Dovid Trenk, z"l. Reb Dovid Trenk was a pioneer in chinuch (education) who took upon himself the mission of reaching out to disaffected and alienated Jewish youth decades before others recognized the need. Reb Dovid knew that every child, whatever his personal circumstances, had only positive inner qualities that could blossom with proper care and nurture. Serving for more than half a century in positions including rebbe and rosh yeshiva in Adelphia NJ, beloved rebbe at Camp Munk - he liked to call himself its oldest camper - and founder and rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Moreshes Yehoshua in Lakewood, Rabbi Trenk influenced thousands with his love, warmth, and wisdom. Our Place offers its deepest condolences to Reb Dovid's wife, Rebbetzin Leah Trenk; his siblings, Rabbi Zevi Trenk and Rebbetzin Leah Cohen; and his children, Rabbi Elimelech Trenk, Rabbi Shiya Trenk, Mrs. Goldie Engelson, Mrs. Donya Brown, and Mrs. Devora Krawiez.
