What We Do
PSYCHOSOCIAL GUIDANCE

PSYCHOSOCIAL GUIDANCE

Support Groups & Community

Support is an integral–and ongoing–part of successful rehabilitation. Our groups foster a sense of community and togetherness for young people seeking recovery. Members meet several times a week to check-in, stay connected, draw strength and share victories with their TLR family.

Counseling

Our certified therapists and coaches maintain ongoing and regular contact with members, guiding them in their journey toward recovery and stepping in with help when challenges come up.

Life Skills

Job placement, vocational support, interpersonal relationship guidance, money management, educational counseling and a variety of other life skills are provided for TLR members. With these skills and support, members are able to establish a long-term recovery.

Spousal Support

TLR offers specific clinical and peer supports for spouses of addicts, including a wives-only support group and an annual "couples retreat." TLR understands that addiction impacts the entire family and it is vital for the spouse of an addict to also receive the guidance and support to successfully traverse their role in the addict's journey.

The Living Room Retreats

Retreats are the foundation of the The Living Room. Members step away from their lives to connect with their TLR family and enhance recovery and growth through intensive workshops.

The Living Room Shabbatons

It’s important for members to have fun in recovery, partaking in a community committed to wellbeing. Throughout the year, The Living Room hosts Shabbatons, holiday-themed events, and parties, giving members the opportunity to bond together and draw spirituality into their lives.

Lifecycle Events

As members grow, the gift and challenge of important lifecycle events comes up. Getting married, having children, getting into school, graduating, starting a job and more, TLR members have the opportunity to celebrate these milestones with their families. Hosting sheva brachos or engagement party, grants newer members the opportunity to see the gifts of recovery and to see that a life of sustained recovery is real.

Israel Mission

Each year, The Living Room sends a 20-member delegation to Israel to be of service and give hope and strength to the Anglo recovery community in Israel. On this immersive trip, TLR members also strengthen their own spiritual and recovery journeys by connecting to the Land of Israel and its people.
